I just received this copy of a newspaper article printed by The Bryan Press from The Williams County Library about Bryan Speedway at Mason's Pit. I know it's hard to read here after I scanned it but my copy is better and the date at the top of the page says 1930. Also look at the front fender of the car and how the guys are dressed in the advertisement to the right of the article. It says it is 6-miles Southwest of town.
Apparently there was only one Masons Pit which if you scroll down to the other replies you'll see where I posted more on this subject. The races were called "Ho Bo Auto Racing".

Apparently there were two Mason's gravel pits because they also sent me a platt map showing one Mason's pit in Defiance County,Ohio. The races were called "Ho Bo Auto Racing".

Ok after a closer look with my "Grandpa Glasses" I guess there was just one Masons Pit. which is in Defiance County,Ohio and 6-miles Soutwest of Bryan,Ohio.
It was also a place to go swimming and have picknics as well. And they had lights for night swims. I also have a newspaper copy of a clipping from the Bryan Press newspaper back in 1931 which tells more about Masons Pit. I also have the county platt map which I circled the location of Masons Pit. Check out the advertisement for coal to the right of the article.

| Another Mason's Pit has surfaced that was West of the former Bryan Speedway near county Road I in Williams County. I'm now getting info from people who remember auto racing taking place there, just not sure on the years yet. I have also talked to some people in Montpelier,Ohio and they remember auto racing taking place at the Williams County Fairgrounds, and again they can't remember the time frame.
