| its nice to have someone honest enough to bring up the subject.. mark could have just shown up and rolled the dice on getting caught.... there was nothing in the original rules about an inspection hole to check for a racing clutch anyway.... if this rule on racing clutches brings more cars i for one am all for it.. i would rather have a backup motor than a racing clutch ... that clutch is worthless without a motor to put it on..

| Thanks jellybean, I just want to be legal when i get to the track and not try too full people in thinking im legal. The racing clutch debate has been a good one and everyone has good points about it, I also thank everyone for not letting it get out of hand and having a clean debate about it, thanks everyone!

| im with you grubby for what some of these people have in a mini stock they could have a street stock or even a modified , what ever happen to any car could be clamed for $1000. The car count would be much higher if it didnt cost $7000 to have a competable mini stock, i recently bought an older mustang for $400 that i planed on racing at AMS but people are wanting 300 to 400 for just a racing cluch so i dont even want to try to race my car with a STOCK motor or anything. I dont see why the class is called mini stocks because there are very few stock cars in the class.

| I must say I have really enjoyed watching this debate take place. As far as racing clutches go, if thats what brings up car counts then so be it. There are so many people who want to keep this stock, which is a good idea, but there is no way to bring it back to a stock class which it hasnt been for years. Times change, so I think its time to change with them. Hey sweetcorn, I am so with you on the traveling mini-stock series. I think it would be awesome to run different tracks in our area in a series. I think if you get it done, you can count our four cars in!

Do not make this a place to promote a traveling series or an attempt to start one!
I will begin to delete posts if it turns into that!
This is to help Angola Motor Speedway and its drivers and teams. I am not saying that the idea isn't warranted BUT it does not belong on here!
Thank you
Wes

| I agree with Wes,we need to stick to the subject..The underlying factor here isn't the racing clutches,it's the overall cost of being competititive, nobody even mentioned the Holley carbs that were also voted down at the drivers meetings, along with the clutches. With qualifying times lowering and cars being built more as pure race cars, does that mean they won't be called the wild and crazy mini stocks this year?

| I never liked them being called the wild and crazy mini stocks in the first place........we put too much money into our mini's and no respect. Even though I will not be in a mini stock anymore I am glad I did race them for experience and I think mini stock's deserve more respect. Lots of people dont realize the actual time and money put into these cars.
